The water storage tank balances water demand and water supply. Only the daily demand is considered for drinking water purposes. The daily requirement is calculated from the units specified in the water utilisation plan (e.g. residents 300 litres/day, tourists 400 litres/day). The storage capacity should not be set too high, as quality problems can occur if the water is stored for too long (more than 2 days).
