Pilsner beer malt gives beer a fresh, rounded flavour. Very rich in enzymes, it can be used as a base for all types of beer, although it is preferred for ‘lighter’ beers that are easier to drink. The malt is produced from selected qualities of distichous barley, from the highest German regions. The characteristics of malt are: low protein level, high extract yield, very light colour and strong enzyme activity.
